It was another cold week and we had a lot of indoor recesses. Luckily we got out snowshoeing, on Monday, the warmest day of the week.
In math we learned more about 3 different kinds of symmetry (vertical, horizontal and diagonal). We also continued to practice our subtraction facts including subtraction with regrouping.
Our language lessons focused on procedural writing. On Wednesday we even got to chew bubble gum in class! Everyone wrote down their own jot notes while they blew bubbles. Then we all wrote down instructions to teach someone how to blow a bubble. In Art on Thursday we got to make faces to add to our procedural writing piece.
It was a very busy week in science. We have been learning a lot about structures and we finally got to put some of it into action. In pairs, or groups of three, we used materials to build a structure that was tall, stable and strong. We learned a lot the first day and then got to try it again the second day. Building structures was a lot of fun.
Enjoy a great long weekend.
