We started our week with learning about rounding in Math. We learned how to round to tens and to hundreds. If it is 5 and up you round up and if it is 4,3,2,or 1 you round down. People round numbers to make "friendly" numbers that are easier to work with in their heads. Friendly numbers end with 0. Sometimes friendly numbers end with 5 (for example 25, 50, 75, 100).
On Monday we danced in gym. We went on Go Noodle and did the Empire State Building warm up and then we danced the Cupid Shuffle. In gym we learned about personal space by using hula hoops. We danced, galloped, jogged and hopped in our hula hoops.
All the students in the school continued to work on being good digital citizens. We learned that our digital footprint will be on the internet forever. Our favourite game was the 3 Little Cyberpigs. Everyone discussed how to be safe online and to be kind online. Some people made cyberbullying bitstrips.
This year our class is going to run the very important snowsuit fund. We made amazing snowsuit fund posters to tell people about why our community needs to have snowsuits donated.
Mrs. Townsend came in to our class again to teach us music. We are starting to sound pretty good.
Mrs. Aubrey read us a fabulous book called, "One". The moral of the story was that it only takes 1 person to stand up to a bully.
It was White Out Wednesday at SEAS on Wednesday this week. A supply teacher was here because Mrs. Aubrey was at an EQAO meeting. The whole school went in the gym and got our photo taken.
And that was our short, but still amusing week.
