I really enjoyed our trip to the Art Gallery today. The Alex Colville exhibit and the M.C. Escher exhibit were highlights for me. It was exciting to see in real life so many paintings and drawings that I've seen numerous times in books and magazines. The guided tour was excellent. Our guide, Miss Mary, a retired Art History teacher, helped us to develop our questioning when we look at art. The Canadian Gallery and the European Gallery were also awe inspiring. There is so much to see at the National Gallery, I will have to go back and visit again soon.
Of course you will!
The art gallery was really fun. When I saw the Voice Of Fire, I exploded with excitement! I had never seen it up close before and the illusion was amazing. All the artwork was great and I am pretty sure that all of the artists who created the artwork put a lot of effort into it and I am glad we could appreciate it.
I saw the Voice of fire and I was happy to see death of General Wolfe it is one my favourite anyways it was amazing.
The trip to the art gallery was the most fun trip ever. It was fun because we got to see the voice of fire. It was one of the biggest paitings there. We also saw the yellow edge and it was just a black picture with a yellow edge.
Wow, it seems like Newman's "Voice of Fire" was a hit with our class. It was painted to hang in the geodesic dome in Montreal for Expo '67. I'm glad that it has found a new home in the National Gallery.
I think our trip to the Art Gallery was amazing! We saw lots of famous pantings, like the "Going To P E I " ",Horse And Train" and "Death Of General Wolfe". My mom said, that our class is lucky to go to the Art Gallery with our awesome teacher. :D :)
Hi Demid, Please thank your mom for her kind words. I think you are blessed to have such a fabulous mom. Plus, she knows a lot about art too.
I had a great time with my classmates. We saw Voice of Fire. It surprises me at how big it is.
I really liked the statues, the "Voice of fire" was ginormous; but my favorite was the GIANT SPIDER out front. My parents want to go back and have me give them a tour...
Hi Georgia, I think that taking your parents on a tour of the gallery is a great idea. Do you think Charleigh would like it too?
I had a fun time the Art Gallery! I saw the Voice of Fire which I really liked. It is way BIGGER then I thought .
Mrs. Aubrey - that was the best field trip ever! Meadow, Emily and I saw: Voice of Fire, Inuit sculpture art from caribou antlers, Hound in Field (Emily's favourite) .
I did not see "Hounds in Field". I will have to look for this painting the next time I am at the Art Gallery.
The voice of fire is huge! My favourite picture is hound in feald .

I was surprised to see how big the Voice of Fire was. I also liked the Hounds in Field. I saw a mirror/picture of a woman set up, where they had twins looking at each other and their eyes blinked - it was kinda creepy.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
